MONICA SHUM

I truly love what I do—teaching yoga has been the most fulfilling decision of my life. Choosing to follow my heart and turn my passion into a profession has been nothing short of a blessing. Yoga has transformed my life from the inside out, and my greatest joy is helping others discover that same sense of wellness, purpose, and inner joy.

 

My teaching style blends creative Vinyasa sequencing with the wisdom I've gained through years of practicing Ashtanga, Hatha, and Yin. I strive to create classes that are both healing and uplifting—where the mind can settle and the body can move with intention and ease - that is PRANA ANANDA!

 

Before teaching yoga full-time, I spent over 20 years working in the corporate world. That experience taught me how to lead, communicate, and show up with a balance of discipline and heart—skills that continue to shape the way I guide my students today.

 

With a multicultural background, I love weaving together the depth of Eastern yoga philosophy with the grounded practicality of modern Western life. It’s my intention to make yoga accessible, meaningful, inspiring, and most importantly FUN — on and off the mat.
